Welcome to the interactive web schedule for the 2021 Fall NEARC Conference! Fall NEARC is being organized as an in-person event, but some presentations are available via livestream or as pre-recording from presenters for those who cannot join us in New Haven.

For tips on how to navigate this site, visit the "Helpful Info" section. Return to the NEARC website.

Fall NEARC will be on Slack! Slack is a messaging platform that will allow users to connect, network, and discuss all levels of GIS, helping enable our community to be a place for “users helping users." For this year’s fall conference, we will be using Slack as a place to discuss sessions, posters, and to get to know each other better. Check back soon for instructions on how to join Slack for the Fall NEARC Conference.

ArcGIS Field Maps is an all-in-one app that uses data-driven maps to help mobile workers perform mobile data collection and editing, find assets and information, and report their real-time locations. It enables mobile workers to bring maps and data into the field to support different types of field operations across many industries. In this follow-along workshop attendees will learn Field Maps basics such as setting up a field map, installing/using the Field Maps App, as well as creating and using a Smart Form.

This is a "Bring your own Device" Workshop. You will need to download, install and license ArcGIS Field Maps on your phone or tablet prior to the workshop.
  • Please refer to the ArcGIS Field Maps system requirements before installing ArcGIS Field Maps on your device: ArcGIS Field Maps System Requirements
  • If you are an existing ArcGIS user, currently on maintenance, have your Administrator assign you a Field Maps license.
  • If you are a new ArcGIS user, you can download a free trial version by signing up here: ArcGIS Trial
  • If you do not have a license, Esri may be able to provide you with a temporary one.

Note: “Follow-Along” Workshops are live, with student-provided (i.e. “bring-your-own-device") laptops or mobile devices. The presenter will deliver content, then lead the attendees in several hands-on exercises. Presenters will remain in the front of the room, for health and safety reasons.
