Welcome to the interactive web schedule for the 2021 Fall NEARC Conference! Fall NEARC is being organized as an in-person event, but some presentations are available via livestream or as pre-recording from presenters for those who cannot join us in New Haven.

For tips on how to navigate this site, visit the "Helpful Info" section. Return to the NEARC website.

Fall NEARC will be on Slack! Slack is a messaging platform that will allow users to connect, network, and discuss all levels of GIS, helping enable our community to be a place for “users helping users." For this year’s fall conference, we will be using Slack as a place to discuss sessions, posters, and to get to know each other better. Check back soon for instructions on how to join Slack for the Fall NEARC Conference.

No fee to participate; advance registration required; capacity 20. BYOD.
This workshop will introduce participants to the first set of lessons in the online Hour of Cyberinfrastructure for GIScience. We will begin by presenting the objectives and framework of the HCI, including a brief overview of the foundations of Cyberliteracy for GIScience. We will then demonstrate the online materials, practice hands-on exercises, and end with an open discussion on how to incorporate these materials into existing courses at the undergraduate level and elsewhere.
